European Cinema Premier & Experience Japan Launch

European cinema premier of the documentary films “Lives after the Tsunami” (74 minutes) by director Shuichi Morimoto and “Tsuchioto” (23 minutes) by director Yui Okubo.  Both documentaries visit the Tsunami affected regions in the days after the disaster meeting with individuals and groups trying to reconcile and cope the aftermath.

Join members of Dublin’s Japanese community and students groups from UCD and DCU to celebrate a Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Festival.  Hanami is an annual event in Japan where friends come together for outdoor parties to welcome spring and celebrate nature.

• Fusion of Japanese shakuhachi music and the Irish harp
• Irish music with a Japanese influence
• Origami and kite making craft workshops for children
