Film Screening: The Letter (手紙)

Since they lost their parents, Takeshi has provided for his younger brother Naoki. But when Takeshi is fired from his job, he is forced to take desperate measures to ensure that his brother’s education will not suffer. After a house-breaking goes horribly wrong, Takeshi ends up in prison and writes to his bother every month…unaware that his sibling is struggling to cope too.

Based on the novel by best-selling author Keigo Higashino, The Letter is a moving examination of the ripple effect a crime can have, its impact reaching far beyond the lives of just the perpetrator and the victim.
