The Hanami Festival 2024 is located in Farmleigh House, at the back of Phoenix Park, Dublin. This page explains some options for transport and travel to get there.
🚗 By Car
🚫 The festival has limited car parking, until 12:00. 🚫 If arriving later, please consider public or active transport to avoid disappointment.
会場駐車場への入場は正午まで、極めて数が限られています。混雑を避けるため、公共交通機関のご利用を強く推奨します。
Phoenix Park simply has far fewer parking spaces than in the past, and is likely to be full by noon. We strongly encourage going green and using a bus or cycling to the festival!
Alternative parking is a 45 minute walk from the festival if you’d like to park near the Phoenix Park Papal Cross or Visitor Centre, and stretch your legs!
Driving from outside Dublin?
- Parking along the 37 or 70 bus route, and taking the bus is a great option!
- Blanchardstown shopping centre, Heuston Station, and Smithfield car park are all on these routes — see bus information below.
- Be wary of sat-nav. It may direct you to White’s Road, which is not available for parking on the day and Garda traffic restrictions will be in place.
🚲 By Bicycle
Dublin City Council are making additional bike parking available right in the heart of the festival! 🎉 Cycling really is the best way to visit us this year.
You can enjoy a safe 20 minute cycle along the Phoenix Park cycle paths to reach Farmleigh.
Don’t have your own bike / electric bike?
- Dublin Bikes has stations on Parkgate Street Street, just outside the Phoenix Park main entrance.
- Bleeper and Moby offer bike-sharing services available around Dublin City.
- Phoenix Park Bikes has rentals (including tandem bikes) near the entrance to Phoenix Park. (They request Photo ID as a security deposit.)
🚋 By Public Transport
Remember you can enjoy most public transport in Dublin with a single 90 minute fare with a Leap Card. 🐸

Once you arrive at Castleknock Gate, enter Phoenix Park and take the narrow pedestrian path to your immediate right.
Walk down this path until you reach the road, and turn right to see the gates of Farmleigh House. This is about a 10 minute walk.
On a rainy day, the pedestrian path may be muddy. Staying on the main roads and taking a right will also lead you to us.
